Time to fill your 6-pack, lushes! And in this episode Jose Hernandez of 4 Ever Acres Kitchen is going to give you six (affordable and accessible) tequilas to fill it with! Get your shopping list ready!
He mentions if you are new to tequila, trying a new tequila brand or even participating in a tasting, begin with a Blanco, since it’s the most raw version of a tequila; it’s the best way to know what a specific brand’s flavor is. The Reposados and Anejos will be aged longer.
So let’s fill that 6-pack full of Blancos:

- Cazcanes – notes of black pepper and citrus
- Don Fulano – great for Ranch Waters! Citrus peel flavor is prominent in this one.
- G4 – Jose uses this in his margaritas. Same notes citrus and pepper, but citrus notes hit first
- Cascahuin – Jose enjoys this one neat because of the full flavor profile
- Siete Leguas (7 Leagues) – enjoy this neat or on the rocks – or mix it! All around great tequila
- Mijenta (my people) – Jose loves this bottle! One of his favorites neat or on the rocks to enjoy all that goes into making a superior tequila
- Do you remember Chrissy’s interview with Ana María Romero at Tales of the Cocktail? She is the Co-Founder and Master Distiller of Mijenta! Listen to the interview here!

The blondes are extremely grateful for Jose’s guidance – they love tequila, and Jose hasn’t steered them wrong yet! Let the girls know if you try any of Jose’s recommendations and what you thought!
